My Story
Hi all, I am James Cecil DC, a native to Western Kentucky where I started my running career. In high school I competed in both Cross Country and Track and Field. I started my career off running shorter distance like the 800 meters up to the mile. From there, I studied at the University of Southern Indiana where I ran collegiately and advanced my races to the 5k, 10k, and primarily 3k steeplechase. While running 100+ miles a week, I earned Academic All-American honors as well as competed in multiple national meets for Division II. I specialized in Steeplechase in outdoor track and field and 5k/10k in indoor track and cross country.
After undergraduate, I continued my education at Logan University where I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic. I later came back into the running world and started my marathon journey. I’ve competed in races such as Berlin and New York Marathons. With my career I am able to compliment these distances with my knowledge in Active Release Techniques, soft tissue modalities, and corrective exercises which help keep me injury free and keeps me learning and having fun. I love working with endurance athletes to help them stay healthy and active during their training in the months before their big races.
